Kilfrost is proud to support Aerobility, an aviation charity, which changes lives by providing the disabled community access to the magic and wonder of flight.

In preparation for the upcoming winter season we recently supplied Aerobility with containers of our Rapid Deicing Fluid (RDF) to ensure its flying operations can continue when frost takes hold.

RDF is a rapid and effective deicing fluid that can be used on light aircraft, whilst on the ground, to eliminate frozen deposits without the need for heat. A fully biodegradable and highly effective alcohol based deicing fluid, it can be used in conditions down to -60°C and can be used without dilution, in cold concentrate form.

This makes application simple for the Aerobility team to use from a simple backpack sprayer applicator, with no heating required. The deicing fluid enables the charity to continue its flying operations by removing light frost from aircraft based in Hampshire and the East Midlands.

Al Rosser, Service Delivery Director and Chief Flying Instructor at Aerobility, commented: “We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Kilfrost, for once again supplying us with a generous amount of RDF to enable our charity to remain operational – even in the English winter!

“It is amazing that we receive help like this from the industry, showing how we can all pull together to make aviation accessible to everyone.

“We are now fully prepared for the cold and crisp days ahead and can continue to enjoy the winter scenery from the air.”

We have supported Aerobility for a number of years now as we believe strongly in the charity’s mission to make aviation accessible to all, and it is a pleasure to contribute to an organisation that inspires and empowers so many people.

The charity encourages its flyers to ask the question ‘If I can fly an aeroplane, what else can I do?’ This makes everything else in life feel that little bit more achievable, whilst offering the ultimate feeling of freedom and escape from restrictions of disability.

Dharmesh Devabhai, UK Technical Account Manager ADF at Kilfrost, added: “We’re deeply honoured and privileged to support Aerobility by donating our RDF light aircraft deicing fluid. Supporting such an outstanding charity aligns with our commitment to safety and inclusion in aviation, and we are proud to help enable its vital work in the community.”
