DP705 Multipurpose Deicing Agent

DP705 is a multipurpose deicer with a low viscosity fluid to work into the ice and snow and deice contamination. The product is used on the points and switches for track side use to remove fixed ice and compacted snow contamination from the trackside, resulting in the rails being ready for operation or maintenance.

Use of DP705 Multi Purpose Deicing Agent

Point work / point rodding for rail and third rail
Spray DP705 deicing fluid to the nip between the switch rails and stock rails or to crossing flange ways. Do not apply the material to the rail head. Apply the material until the snow is melted and then thoroughly re-wet the area with DP705. Faster clearance is achieved if the snow is first swept off down to the rail head level. Where de-icing has taken place take care to ensure that the slide chairs are kept adequately lubricated; DP705 is NOT a lubricant.

Coil springs / suspension and buffers
Spray DP705 fluid onto the coil springs, suspension and buffers to deice the contamination. For best results, scape off as much snow and ice as possible and then deice with DP705.

Body side air filters / radiator grilles on diesel trains
Spray DP705 fluid into the body side air filters or radiator grilles to deice packed snow contamination to prevent engines overheating or cooling air restriction. For best results, scape off as much snow and ice as possible and then deice with DP705.

Toilet treatment
Pour 500 millilitres of DP705 into each toilet pan.
