Our Chief Executive, Gary Lydiate, attended the fourth anniversary celebrations of X-Forces, a social enterprise which helps ex-service personnel set up in business. Gary joined X-Forces in September 2017 as a Non-Executive Director.
Held at HQS Wellington on the River Thames, patron Lord Young welcomed big business, charity, and government to celebrate military entrepreneurs and business start-ups.
X-Forces was set up in 2013 and had a vision to extend business support to thousands of service personnel transitioning into civilian life.
Gary joined X-Forces following an early career in the Merchant and Royal Navy. He said: “It was a wonderful evening. I was delighted to not only meet colleagues but also true entrepreneurs who have benefited from X-Forces and started out on an incredible journey in business.”
Reflecting on the evening, X-Forces CEO and Founder, Ren Kapur MBE, said: “Tonight focused on the many ways our entrepreneurs are supported by X-Forces and our charity partners.
“Collaboration across the Armed Forces community makes a real difference to thousands of veterans, spouses, reservists and their families. Collaboration with our stakeholders; government, charities and corporates underpins success for our beneficiaries.”
