Winter conditions present a number of problems that have to be overcome for the reliable and safe operation of the railways. Kilfrost addresses these problems by developing advanced materials for the de- and anti-icing of rolling stock, infrastructure and passenger areas.

Kilfrost has been supplying de- and anti-icing products to the railway industry since the 1930s. Our world-renowned R & D specialists continue to develop today’s products, using on-site wind tunnels, cold chambers and their technical expertise to test, evaluate and manufacture new products, often in response to customer requests.
