KILFROST SECURES PRESTIGIOUS CONTRACT WITH TOP TRANSIT AUTHORITY

The global leaders in de and anti-icing have just secured a prestigious new multiple-year contract to supply the second largest public transportation system in the United States.
Beginning this month, Kilfrost Inc. will provide the Chicago Transit Authority with Kilfrost Rail, a high performance monopropylene glycol-based fluid which coats the electrified third rails of metro and urban rail systems.
“The fluid’s enhanced viscosity formulation offers protection from frost and freezing precipitation on the rail for extended periods” explained Patrick Strasburger, Senior Vice President of the Americas. “It’s also non-hazardous, fully biodegradable, and includes anti-corrosion additives that actively protect the track and other metal infrastructure from corrosion.” 
“We’re delighted to have won the contract and are looking forward to working with the team at the CTA” he added. The Chicago Transit Authority covers the City of Chicago and 40 surrounding suburbs, and on an average weekday, more than 1.8 million rides are taken.
