We’re delighted to announce that the exceptional talents of one of our Board Directors have been recognised at a prestigious international event.
Our own Josephine Halbert – an award-winning filmmaker, artist and producer – scooped the coveted prize for Best Music Video at the recent Santa Fe Film Festival.
The winning video entitled ‘Never Stop’ is a promotional soundtrack for a radio play Josephine wrote entitled ‘JIM’, which tells the story of a rock and roll transatlantic romance set in the psychedelic 1960s. Category judges praised Josephine for her musical depiction of scenes inspired by the original story which featured actors from the radio play itself.
Josephine said: “The Santa Fe Film Festival was a wonderful experience and I was thrilled to be recognised in this way, particularly as the event doesn’t usually present awards for music videos. As a professional filmmaker for many years, this is the first music video I’ve ever produced and directed which makes this accolade even more of an honour!”
The Santa Fe Film Festival is the longest running festival of its kind in New Mexico, with the annual event recognising those working both behind the scenes and on-screen to bring the best of film creation, production and showings to the public.
Following her phenomenal success here, Josephine’s video was also awarded an Honourable Mention at last month’s Los Angeles Film Awards.
