Kilfrost, the global leader in de/anti-icing solutions, announced today that it has become a sponsor of the Prince's Trust, a youth charity that helps change young lives.
The Prince's Trust gives practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation. It works with 14 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.
The Prince's Trust has helped more than 600,000 young people since 1976 and supports 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people that it helped last year moved into work, education or training. Its work is vital, as around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training. Youth unemployment costs the UK economy £10 million a day in lost productivity, while youth crime costs £1 billion every year.
Gary Lydiate, CEO of Kilfrost, commented: "All people are important to our society. If we can do anything to support the process of helping people get to work and contribute to our society then we are delighted to do so. The Prince's Trust is an excellent way of helping people."
For over 75 years Kilfrost has led the global de/anti-icing market and is proud to work closely with customers in over 63 countries and five continents. With facilities in the UK, Europe, North America, Japan and China. Kilfrost's Winter Division delivers its safety-critical de/anti-icing products to the Aviation, Rail and Ground De-icing sectors.
